I make all kinds of pots but what I love most is to throw on the potter’s wheel, making mostly functional and symmetrical shapes, and then to RAKU or sawdust fire those pots. For me; it is the tension between being able to control the clay on the wheel and then to allow the fire freedom to do its magic that never fails to attract me. I love the fire and I love the smoke and I love being part of the firing process.
